Yulia Glas was born in Ukraine in 1986. She was awarded a Honorary Diploma specializing “ National Art Creativity” from College of Culture in 2007. Was teaching School Drama in 2007.
In 2011 received her Bachelor Degree in Philology from Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences.
In 2011 moved to South Africa.
Yulia began her interest in art as a child and has drawn and painted her entire life. She worked with different mediums, like oils, water colour and painting on glass.
In 2018 became interested in modern abstact visual art called Acrylic Fluid Art.
She says: “Fluid Art Pouring is Art Therapy. The paint mixing, measuring process is very calming, relaxing and meditative. The process is irrelevant, it doesn’t matter how you create it, it is more important that you are creating something out of nothing and adding something positive to the World”.
I am inspired by colours and textures in Nature, especially plants and landscape. Creating art this way is always an experiment. The final art usually is something completely different that what I initially had in my mind. I just spill some paint and go with the flow, allowing it to flow and circulate spontaneously.
I love how the colours flow and ebb, merge and collide as I blow air on them, creating a bridge between Art and Science.
Even though I use the same technique and the same colours for painting, each piece is unique and can not be duplicated, that is what I love about Fluid Art.
I always create with Colour, Contrast and Composition.
Using Fluid Acrylic my artwork captures amalgamations of colour and light, which evoke a broad range of emotions in many people. I like people to interpret my art in their own way because, emotionally, everyone sees different things that connect to them.
I hope you find my work stirs Your imagination.
