I am a landscape painter working very closely with Nature to capture my plein air, impasto style oil paintings. I believe that the process during the painting experience is sacred and even more important than the end result.
I would like the people who see my paintings to be moved to a place deep within themselves where they feel their own connection to Nature on a very primal level, a deep love.
I live and work in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus, South Africa.
I have a little gallery/studio where I exhibit my work and do Creative workshops on Southern Right Wine Farm. I am open by appointment and for my yearly solo exhibition during Hermanus Fynarts every June. And get invited to exhibit with other galleries too.
I have just been selected as one of the finalists for Fynarts Tollman exhibition 2019. And have done a painting for the 2020 Wine label for the award winning wines of Hamilton Russell Vineyards.
I have been creating art in different mediums my whole life but only started working in oils after a near death experience in 1999.
I am available for commissions and I post my work all over the world.
I also do monthly Soul Art workshops called ‘Connecting to your Creative core’ that help people to get into the Zone and create.
